প্লট দুর্নীতি: রেহানা-টিউলিপ-ববি-আজমিনার বিরুদ্ধে সাক্ষ্যগ্রহণ শুরু

ঢাকার পূর্বাচল নতুন শহর প্রকল্পে প্লট বরাদ্দে জালিয়াতির ঘটনায় তিনটি পৃথক মামলায় সাক্ষ্যগ্রহণ শুরু হয়েছে। মামলায় সাবেক প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার বোন শেখ রেহানা, তার সন্তান ও ব্রিটিশ এমপি টিউলিপ রিজওয়ানা সিদ্দিকসহ অন্যান্যদের বিরুদ্ধে অভিযোগ আনা হয়েছে।

ঢাকার বিশেষ জজ আদালত-৪ এর বিচারক মো. রবিউল আলমের আদালতে বুধবার (১৩ আগস্ট) এই তিন মামলায় বাদীদের জবানবন্দি গ্রহণ করা হয়েছে। এর আগে, মোট ছয়টি মামলায় শেখ হাসিনা ও তার পরিবারের সদস্যদের নামে পূর্বাচল নতুন শহর প্রকল্পে প্লট বরাদ্দে অনিয়মের অভিযোগে বিচার শুরুর আদেশ দেওয়া হয়।

মামলার অন্যান্য আসামির মধ্যে রয়েছেন জাতীয় গৃহায়ন ও গণপূর্ত মন্ত্রণালয়ের সচিব ও অতিরিক্ত সচিব, রাজউকের সাবেক চেয়ারম্যান, প্রশাসনিক কর্মকর্তা, সাবেক প্রতিমন্ত্রী এবং প্রধানমন্ত্রীর সাবেক একান্ত সচিব। অভিযোগে বলা হয়েছে, তারা বরাদ্দ পাওয়ার যোগ্য না হওয়া সত্ত্বেও পূর্বাচল আবাসন প্রকল্পের ২৭ নম্বর সেক্টরের ২০৩ নম্বর রাস্তার ৬টি প্লট বরাদ্দ পেয়েছেন।

দুদকের অনুসন্ধান অনুযায়ী, শেখ হাসিনা ১০ কাঠার প্লট (প্লট নম্বর ০০৯), তার ছেলে ও মেয়ে ১০ কাঠা করে প্লট পেয়েছেন। শেখ রেহানা ও তার সন্তানদের নামেও একই পরিমাণে প্লট বরাদ্দ হয়েছে। মামলাগুলো গত জানুয়ারি মাসে দায়ের করা হয়।

Plot Corruption: Testimonies Begin Against Rehana, Tulip, Bibi & Azmina

Testimonies have begun in three separate cases over fraudulent plot allocations in Purbachal New Town project. Allegations involve Sheikh Rehana, her children, and British MP Tulip Rizwana Siddiq among others.

On Wednesday (August 13), the Special Judge Court-4 of Dhaka, presided by Judge Md. Robiul Alam, heard testimonies from complainants in three separate cases. Previously, six cases were filed against Sheikh Hasina and her family members over irregular plot allocations in Purbachal New Town project.

Other accused include senior officials from the Ministry of Housing and Public Works, former RAJUK chairman, administrative officers, former state ministers, and the former private secretary of the Prime Minister. They are alleged to have received six plots on Road No. 203, Sector 27, Purbachal, despite being ineligible.

According to the ACC investigation, Sheikh Hasina received a 10-katha plot (Plot No. 009), her son and daughter also received 10-katha plots each. Rehana and her children were allocated similar plots. The cases were filed in January of this year.
